Meet your English or German-speaking guide at Door C for a one-hour tour of Dresden’s Frauenkirche. Learn how the church rose from wartime ruins, see George Bähr’s restored design, and gain access to the galleries for a distinctive view.
Use one self-guided ticket to enter Dresden’s Zwinger museums for one day. See Canaletto and other Old Masters, royal porcelain, sculpture, and historic scientific instruments. The ticket is wheelchair accessible overall, but construction limits access to the Mathematical and Physical Salon.
“It´s a mavelous museum. You should go there with time enough to calmly go across its innumerable lounges and aisles.”
Start at Dresden Information in Neumarkt for a 1.5-hour German-language walk past the Frauenkirche, Semperoper, Zwinger, Dresden Castle, and more. Use your same-day voucher at the Chocolate Museum, where you’ll learn about Dresden’s cocoa trade, see historic molds, taste chocolate, and claim a coffee coupon.
“Der Guide hat anschaulich und interessant durch die Altstadt geführt. Seine Ausführungen waren gut und wir haben viel erfahren.”
Spend a full day at Dresden’s Transport Museum in the historic Johanneum. Use the downloadable audio guide in several languages as you explore rail, road, air, and shipping exhibits, then try hands-on displays such as a penny-farthing ride and digital boat race.
Explore Dresden’s Albertinum at your own pace with a one-day entry ticket covering the Galerie Neue Meister and sculpture collection. Expect art from Romanticism through today, including Caspar David Friedrich, Rodin’s The Thinker, Lehmbruck, Birgit Diecker, and Tony Cragg. No guide is included.
Spend two hours at Dresden’s Old Masters Picture Gallery with a German-speaking guide such as Thomas. Study Raphael, Titian, Giorgione, Rembrandt, and others, while X-rays, digital images, and historic pigment samples reveal how these works were made.
“We had a great time on our tour. Our guide (I wish we got his name) was so interesting, funny and knowledgeable.”
Meet your German-speaking guide at Theaterplatz for a guided tour of the Semperoper, including its Italian High Renaissance interior, reconstruction, and famous acoustics. Then visit the restored Old Masters Picture Gallery and Sculpture Collection, with works by Raphael, Rembrandt, and Bellotto.
In 100 minutes, a German-speaking guide leads you from Neumarkt past the Frauenkirche, Semperoper, Zwinger, Residenzschloss, and Fürstenzug. Your ticket also covers the Dresden City Museum and Städtische Gallery, where you continue independently through 800 years of history and art.
“Bijzonder interessant vooral door de kennis van de rondleider die veel verder ging dan alleen over de stad Dresden. Het heeft ons een goed beeld gegeven van de historische waarde van deze stad en streek. Dank!”
