“This is a full day with a bus ride through the beautiful countryside to Swangau. Tyler, the guide is excellent. Bike ride was flat and easy but I would definitely suggest wearing very good tennis shoes for the walk “hike” up to the castle. We are in great shape and it was tough for us. “Amazing tour. A must do. A real show stopper castle with amazing views. Well organised ticketing. Well organised handset tour. ‘Get your guide’ is basically a ticket tout selling at double normal price but if you’re struggling to get tickets in a limited time and have left it too late to get on official website then it’s worth doing as a one off. Must visit mariebrucker bridge to take photos. If you get an early tour do that first as it gets busy. I recommend a bus to the bridge. Then it’s a 10 minute walk from there. Then walk back down. If you’re visiting both castles ie Hohenschwangu you…”

Buying the tickets directly from the castle is much cheaper, in our case they were sold out for the day we wanted to attend. I reach there and I had to wait in a Hotel reception around 3 hours before I get the entrance, and the entrance time was still 2 hours in advance, So I lost 5 hours of the trip just waiting plus 8 hours travel means that I lost 13 hours of the trip and just enjoyed one in the castle. Of course, forget about going to Rothenburg, we where completely out of time by thime I leave the castle. I paid almost 300€, for a one hour visit worth…”
